Flat Fee Listing FAQ's

What is the MLS (Multiple Listing Service)?

The MLS is by far the most effective way to sell your property.  It is a Realtor owned site available ANYWHERE in the United States.  What this means is that Real Estate agents in a particular area join together to share information about properties they have for sale, which means your house will have more exposure to more licensed agents in the area, than if you only place your property on a particular FSBO site.

Since the MLS is Realtor owned, a FSBO (For Sale by Owner) cannot place your home on their local MLS. You need to be a licensed Real Estate agent to do this. This also applies to all the FSBO websites you may have visited. Most of them DO NOT belong to the MLS nor do they have a Real Estate license, so they will have to go through a 3rd party (us) to get it listed, which is why you may see FSBO companies charge you twice.

What will you pay; what’s the catch?

There is really no catch.  When you sign our Wisconsin Listing Contract, YOU determine the amount of commission you will pay to any realtor who may bring a buyer to your property.  If you were to go to a full service listing agent you would be paying up to 6%, but with our flat fee service you choose what to pay – anywhere from 2% - 5%, and the best part about this deal is if a buyer comes without a realtor then you DO NOT have to pay this commission.  Also, keep in mind that not only do you have exposure to the Realtors on the MLS in your local area, you also have your house listed on Realtor.com, which is available for the public to view.

Quorum verses other FSBO Companies

With Quorum you are getting direct service.  FSBO companies cannot list you on the MLS. Only a licensed Realtor can, which means when you sign up with a FSBO company, you are actually paying twice because they need to us in order to place your property in the MLS.
